Laurie Howenstine represents clients in all aspects of real estate closings, commercial financing, commercial leasing and land development. Laurie routinely handles Zoning and Planning including property resubdivision, condominium conversions, and conditional use zoning applications. She holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of New Orleans with a specialization in Land Use and Development. She is also experienced in specialized property transactions involving tax sale and batture/waterfront properties.
Laurie is a licensed title insurance agent for First American Title Insurance Company of Louisiana with St. Charles Title Corporation
Laurie joined Elkins 2014. In 2013, she was selected as one of New Orleans Magazine’s “Top Lawyers of New Orleans” and as City Business’ “Ones to Watch” for her work in real estate law.
