Sherry Landry Schultz represents political subdivisions, developers, lenders, community development entities, underwriters and general business interests in a variety of matters. She is experienced in New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, complex commercial real estate transactions, private-public p artnerships, partnership taxation, drafting and negotiating contracts, municipal law, government investigations, Stafford Act matters, formation and governance of limited liability entities, corporate governance issues, General Buisiness and Corporate Matters and commercial litigation.

Before joining Elkins PLC in 2006, Sherry served as the City Attorney for the City of New Orleans. This experience provides her with a unique perspective and skill set on matters involving Governmental Relations and Municipal Law. Prior to that, she spent five years in private practice as a regulatory and transactional lawyer with a Texas-based firm and two years as the senior judicial law clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Pascal F. Calogero, Jr. of the Louisiana Supreme Court.

In 2001, Sherry was recognized by New Orleans City Business as a “Power Generation” honoree. During the American Bar Association’s 2001 Annual Meeting, she was a panelist on the topic of “Optimizing Your Career Potential: Learning Client Relationship Skills Through Mentoring.”
