Laurie Witter represents developers and lenders in commercial real estate transactions including new construction, acquisitions, and refinancings. Laurie routinely works with developers in commercial financing transactions with an emphasis on multifamily housing loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration and securitized through Ginnie Mae. Her experience includes representation of clients in connection with the negotiation of purchase agreements, leases and servitudes, resubdivisions, subdivision covenants, acts of dedication, and condominium conversions.
Laurie is also a licensed title insurance producer in the State of Louisiana and an authorized agent for First American Title Insurance Company, Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Chicago Title Insurance Company, and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company. Through the firm’s affiliated title company, St. Charles Title Corporation, Laurie performs examinations of complex title abstracts and underwrites title insurance commitments, policies and endorsements for multifamily housing, hotel, office, shopping center, and residential properties.
